Apostasis

 Here are some images of the installation of my current show in Tijuana at Espacio Freelance Gallery at the pasaje rodriguez. The idea was to create a large free/open narrative like comic on walls, where the viewer can pick up/off whereever and create a story of the narrative.

The show is calle Apostasis from Joseph Campbell's 17 stages of the Hero's Cycle, When someone dies a physical death or dies to the self to live in spirit, he or she moves beyond the pairs of opposites to a state of divine knowledge, love, compassion and bliss.

My good friend and I finally started on a project togheter, that we have been talking about for a year or so, a collaboration of wit, letters, nouns, verbs, strokes, ink and images. A weekly webcomic names "Macburro".

Giancarlo Ruiz is one of Tijuana's most original and mental filmmakers and recognized actor. A good friend, dog lover and polish sausagge eater. You can see more of his work here at www.genericpictures.com
